Princess S72 World Premiere in Miami!
PRINCESS S CLASS –
INTRODUCING A NEW CLASS IN PERFORMANCE AND LUXURY

NEW PRINCESS S72 SCHEDULED FOR WORLD PREMIERE
AT THE 2014 MIAMI YACHT & BROKERAGE SHOW

December 15, 2013 - The new S CLASS range of Sportbridge yachts from Princess exemplifies all the ability, quality and design expected from our FLYBRIDGE and V CLASS models and injects a new level of performance, style, and on-water attitude. That S CLASS attitude is summed up by Princess Chairman and spearhead for all new boat development, David King, “S CLASS Sportbridge yachts will deliver a new level of design whilst honoring the ideals of a true performance craft, with our advanced deep-V hull designs and lower profiles delivering the very best in fast and highly efficient cruising in all sea conditions. But S CLASS will also deliver the same high levels of luxury and specification our customers expect, with the sleek but practical upper helm position and a large tender garage and its integrated sunpad.”

First from this new range will be the stunning S72, launching at the Miami Yacht & Brokerage Show in February 2014. Fitted with twin Caterpillar or MAN engines from 1622hp to 1800hp, the S72 will handle every bit as well as she looks. A proven deep-V hull and low center of gravity will deliver class-leading ride quality, with speeds expected to pass 37 knots, along with a highly efficient cruising range. Sleek and aggressive exterior styling will be a feature of S CLASS, from the dark wraparound superstructure glass and angled hull windows to the raked profile that flows into a strong architectural section in the cockpit; these boats deliver real attitude.

The low-profile styling conceals luxury Princess Motor Yacht features like the walk-through foredeck and that all important Sportbridge, delivering the kind of inspirational driving experience that only a Princess deep-V hull can offer. The Sportbridge is accessed by open steps designed to allow an uninterrupted view aft from the main deck salon, and delivers a level of space and sophistication that would put many conventional flybridges to shame. In the cockpit, the Princess design team have created a 3.9m tender garage, able to take a jet RIB plus a whole range of toys.

Above the garage lies a vast sunpad area, and there is still plenty of room for a deep and wide surround of cockpit seating and a full wet bar. For maximum on water lifestyle, the main deck salon is designed to flow into the cockpit, creating a vast, one-level living area. The salon’s triple aspect glass doors fold away to port, while a drop-down window, as seen on the V72, completely opens up the aft salon. For even more on-water atmosphere, an optional opening sunroof can be specified above the lower helm and forward seating.

Below decks, a three-stateroom layout includes a full beam master stateroom enjoying those S CLASS angled hull windows and a new take on interior design and finish. Princess’s Director of Creative Design, Sarah Verey, has put together an exclusive range of materials, furniture, and detailing for S CLASS. “We have delivered a next generation interior for a next generation Princess. Across the S72 you will see a completely new level of finish, with bespoke contemporary furniture and textured silk paneling mixing with polished steel and Macassar Ebony. Black, silver, and white finishes lend a fresh modernity to the interior, whilst our strong British heritage is retained through classically toned leathers and herringbone linings.” The interior cabinetry will now be offered in optional Rovere Oak and American Walnut, as well as the standard Light Oak and Serotina Cherry.

With the first S72 bound for display by Princess Yachts America in Miami in February, hull #2 is already in production. In addition, a new S80 is scheduled for launch in 2015, with two more S CLASS models planned.
